Since then, the Pokémon brand has grown enormously, with the appearance of the Trading Card Game, the anime, and new video games that generation after generation draw millions of fans into a fantastic world. What started on small portable Game Boy devices holding precious collections of Pokémon has become a global phenomenon and has achieved numbers that speak of over 300 million copies sold worldwide, a tangible testament to the love that the little "Pocket Monsters" receive and return, with their ability to make both adults and kids dream and live magical adventures, for over twenty years.

From pixels to printed cards!

The Trading Card Game was no exception: its success was astounding, making it one of the Big Three in the category. Much time has passed since, at the dawn of its distribution in the West, it was marketed by that same Wizards of the Coast that already dominated the market with Magic: The Gathering. And if only they had retained the rights for this game, they would surely now have an amazing product in their hands: the dear old Nintendo will be happy, as it now has full creative and commercial control of this TCG. Since 2003, it has fully overseen its production, and the attention it has dedicated to it has only grown since then.

And so this game, born just a few years after the release of the video games for Game Boy, has contributed to keeping the strength of Pokémon alive as a franchise, to the point of overshadowing all competition. Its fanbase continues to grow day by day, also thanks to its always varied cards and the resonance given by the biggest brand in the world.
