Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit Returns to Middle-earth to tell the beginning of one of the most famous fantasy adventures ever. The set follows Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf and Thorin's company on the long journey from the Shire to the Lonely Mountain, among Trolls, Elves, Goblins, riddles in the darkness, and the inevitable confrontation with Smaug. .

This Play Booster Box ENG contains 30 Play Booster, each composed of 14 Magic: The Gathering cards. The booster packs are designed to offer a balance between the experience of opening and Limited play, making them suitable both for deck building and for organizing Drafts with friends.

Each Play Booster can contain numbered cards. HOB 1–248 and includes:

• 1–3 Rare or Mythic Rare cards, with two Rares or higher present in about 26% of the packs and three in 2%;
• 3–5 Uncommon;
• 7–9 Common;
• 1 Earth card;
• 1 Traditional Foil card of any rarity.

It is also possible to find a Rare or Mythic Rare Borderless Foil in less than 1% of the sachets, while in 20% of the packs the regular Terra paper is replaced by a Traditional Foil version.

The expansion also offers various visual treatments dedicated to the universe of The Hobbit. In Play Booster, the suggestive ones can appear Dragon Hoard Frame Cards, with frames inspired by Smaug's treasure, the Book Cover Cards, which graphically recall the historic fantasy covers of the novel, and special Scene Cards capable of transforming some of the most recognizable moments of the adventure into true collectible compositions.

Particularly evocative are also the Middle-earth Journey Basic Lands, full-art basic lands that ideally follow Bilbo and his companions during their journey through the landscapes of Middle-earth.

But the box hides one last reward.

Each Play Booster Box indeed contains 1 Guaranteed Box Topper with a letter Artista Classico della Foglia Tradizionale della Terra di Mezzo. The series includes 40 cards coming from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, reinterpreted through works by classical artists connected to the imagery of Middle-earth. The Box Topper is therefore separate from the 30 regular booster packs and represents a special guaranteed card inside the display.
