CHARACTER INFORMATION

In a kingdom located on a fjord of the Scandinavian peninsula, Princess Elsa, eldest child of the royal family of Arendelle, has magical powers since birth: she can create and manipulate ice. One day, while playing with her little sister Anna, she accidentally strikes her sister’s head with a blast of ice, leaving her unconscious. The king and queen seek help from the Trolls, whose king, Grand Pabbie, explains that Elsa’s power, although a beautiful gift, is also a terrible curse, warning the child never to let fear control her. The Troll removes from Anna’s mind the memory of her sister’s powers, but not the happy moments they spent together. The rulers promise that Elsa will learn to control her powers before they become too dangerous; from that day on, the sovereigns decide to keep their eldest daughter hidden from the world and from Anna. However, Elsa is unable to stop freezing everything and withdraws even more into herself. Then, when the king and queen die in a shipwreck, the two sisters are more alone than ever.
