CHARACTER INFORMATION

Kirigaya Kazuto, known as Kirito in Sword Art Online (SAO), ALfheim Online (ALO), Gun Gun Gale Online (GGO), and Project Alicization, is the protagonist of the Sword Art Online series. In Sword Art Online, he becomes engaged to and later marries Asuna Yuuki. Kirito was chosen to be one of the thousand beta testers for the closed beta of Sword Art Online, the first virtual game for the NerveGear, and subsequently entered the official version of the game. He became one of the 10,000 players trapped in Sword Art Online, where he remained mostly a solo player throughout the game. Near the end of the game, Kirito joined the Knights of the Blood after losing a bet with its leader Heathcliff. Kirito eventually ended the game by defeating the final boss, thus eliminating the game.Kirito possesses the special “dual sword” skill.

The Elucidator is Kirito's main weapon in Sword Art Online. This sword is derived from a fallen demon monster on the 50th floor. With Lisbeth’s help, the sword is upgraded to the maximum score of 50.
