CHARACTER INFORMATION

Inuyasha is a shonen manga created by Rumiko Takahashi.
The protagonist of the series is a half-demon dog about 200 years old, although he appears 17, born from the Great Dog General and a woman, Izayoi. He is searching for the Shikon Jewel to become a complete demon. His main weapon is Tessaiga, a powerful sword forged from one of his father's fangs. When used correctly, the sword can kill one hundred demons with a single strike. Inuyasha can heal quickly from wounds that would be fatal to any human, largely thanks to his demon blood and partly due to the blood-red robe given to him by his mother (the robe is made from a special very resistant fabric, especially to fire). During the first night of each new lunar cycle (new moon), Inuyasha becomes human, with black hair and brown eyes, and completely loses all his demon powers. He wears a special rosary, imposed on him by Kaede, to prevent him from attacking Kagome if she refused to give him the Shikon Jewel. The rosary forces Inuyasha to obey Kagome’s command “Sit!”: when the command is given, Inuyasha is thrown to the ground and immobilized for a short time. Over time, Inuyasha becomes more and more attached to Kagome, eventually falling in love with her. In fact, during one episode, he abandons a battle to protect her.
