Jin Sakai is the protagonist of the video game Ghost of Tsushima, set during the Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274.

Jin Sakai is a noble samurai and nephew of Lord Shimura, the jito (lord) of Tsushima, raised according to the bushido code, based on honor, loyalty, and direct combat. After the Mongol invasion, Jin realizes that the traditional samurai methods are not enough against the enemy.

To save his land, Jin becomes the Ghost of Tsushima, adopting stealth tactics such as assassinations, traps, and surprise attacks. This leads him to an inner conflict between what is right according to samurai honor and what is necessary to survive and win.

Jin embodies the twilight of the traditional samurai era and the birth of a new type of warrior, guided not only by honor but by the need to protect those he loves.

The Sakai Storm Katana belongs to Jin Sakai, one of the most iconic swords in Ghost of Tsushima.

It is a sword inherited from the Sakai family, symbolizing honor and the bushido code passed down to Jin. It has a refined design: handle with gold details, elegant blade, and decorated tsuba. The sheath often features customizable details (in the game). It is the first katana Jin uses in the game but can be upgraded throughout the story. It represents the samurai way, in contrast with the stealth “ghost” methods that Jin develops during his inner transformation.
