CHARACTER INFORMATION

Sephiroth is a fictional character, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy VII and one of the most popular characters of the Final Fantasy series; he was voted by IGN as the best character of Final Fantasy VII, ahead of the protagonists Cloud and Aerith. He is a victim of the ShinRa corporation’s experiments: he was born as the result of a series of experiments by Hojo, who was searching for the perfect warrior using cells from an alien monster, Jenova, buried in a distant temple inside the planet by the Ancients. Hojo injects Jenova’s cells into Sephiroth while he is still in the womb of the scientist Lucrecia Crescent, his wife. The experiment is conducted with the help of Professor Faremis Gast, who later decides to back out. Without ever suspecting the truth about his origin, he becomes an excellent soldier in the service of ShinRa.
