CHARACTER INFORMATION

Archer is Tohsaka Rin’s Servant and belongs to the archer class, although he uses this weapon only once during the fight with Berserker. His true abilities reveal themselves only in the battle against Berserker, Ilya’s servant, when he creates many legendary weapons, including a larger version of the swords he always used, which allow him to deliver a very powerful strike. In the anime, Archer’s true identity is never confirmed, but various clues are given (his ability to create weapons of any kind, the pendant that remains at the end of the closing credits dedicated to him—the same one Tohsaka used to save Shirō’s life, his comments about Saber as if he knows her). Archer is actually Emiya Shirō himself, who as an adult earned the title of hero by winning the fifth Holy Grail War, but details about his story emerge only in the video game during the Unlimited Blade Works scenario and in the manga.
