The most powerful subordinate of Muzan with the title of First Crescent Moon, Kokushibo was originally a demon slayer named Michikatsu Tsugikuni and the elder brother of Yoriichi. Jealous of his brother's talent, he ends up joining Muzan as a demon to eternally perfect his swordsmanship techniques without the worry of dying from illness or old age. His fighting style is Moon Breathing, which derives directly from Yoriichi's Sun Breathing . His sword is part of his body, therefore he is able to regenerate and change shape at will. He is killed by a combined effort of Gyōmei, Sanemi, Genya, and Muichirō, with the latter two dying soon after due to their injuries.
