The Saw Cleaver is one of the iconic weapons from Bloodborne, the famous video game developed by FromSoftware. It is one of the starting weapons that the player can choose for their character and is particularly appreciated for its versatility and ability to deal damage effectively, both in close range and mid-range combat. It is a cleaver that can be transformed to change its shape and type of attack. Its base form is a large and heavy blade similar to a saw, while when transformed, the blade extends and becomes longer, allowing for attacks at a greater distance. In normal mode, the Saw Cleaver is a short sword, but very powerful, with fast and quick attacks. When transformed, the cleaver becomes longer and sharper, increasing its reach but slightly reducing attack speed. It is capable of inflicting good damage and has a good stun ability to incapacitate enemies. The cleaver is inspired by a traditional weapon but with a distorted and gothic design, perfectly fitting the dark and eerie atmosphere of the game. It is designed to evoke Bloodborne’s theme of fighting monsters and abominations and has an appearance that suggests brutality and effectiveness in the hands of a hunter.
