CHARACTER INFORMATION

The character who gives the series its name and who, like Tatsumi, plays the role of protagonist. Akame is a young girl considered one of the strongest members of Night Raid. Her particular character stems from her childhood: once sold by her parents to the Empire, she was subjected to a grueling training. This fostered such a feeling of revenge in her that, after being tasked with assassinating the former general Najenda (later leader of Night Raid), she not only spared her but also decided to join her and her group in their crusade against the Empire. In reality, behind her cold and serious attitude, hides a shy and sweet girl. Akame is an expert assassin, capable of adapting to any type of opponent. In the unlikely event that Akame cannot eliminate her target in any way, she can resort to her secret weapon, Ennodzuno. To activate it, Akame simply has to cut herself with Murasame. The sword actually holds the souls of all those who died by its hand, which invade Akame’s mind. To be able to fight, it is necessary to “abandon one’s humanity and become monsters.” When in this state, Akame is even faster and more powerful, but the side effects are heavy.
