Based on a series of novels by Isuna Hasekura, Spice and Wolf is set in a medieval world with fantasy-supernatural elements.

The protagonists are Lawrence, a twenty-five-year-old traveling merchant, and Horo the Wise, a wolf deity protecting the harvest who decides to follow Lawrence on his journey to return to her homeland in the north. Amid currency devaluations and smuggling, we will witness the development of the relationship between these two characters.
