SOLO LEVELING - Cha Hae-In - Xross Link Figure (SEGA)
More than ten years have passed since Gates began appearing on Earth, portals that lead to dungeons inhabited by monsters of various races. Once a Gate opens, the only way to close it is to defeat the boss of the dungeon connected to it; if this is not done within seven days, a Dungeon Break occurs, meaning the dungeon stops confining the monsters inside and allows them to reach Earth. The magical power released by each Gate is an indicator of its danger level and is classified with one of the following descending ranks: S, A, B, C, D, and E. Similarly, the power manifested in some humans, the so-called "awakened," is ranked in the same way; these are the only ones who can face the monsters in the dungeons by pursuing the career of Hunter.
In Seoul, the young Sung Jinwoo is an E-rank awakened who works as a Hunter to support his younger sister and pay for his mother's medical expenses. Because he struggles to survive in any dungeon, he has the reputation of being "humanity's weakest weapon." One day, he ventures into a D-rank dungeon with other Hunters and helps them defeat its boss. Despite this, the dungeon's Gate remains open, and the group finds a room where they are subjected to three deadly trials during which Jinwoo sacrifices himself to allow the others to escape. While near death, Jinwoo sees a system screen offering him the chance to become a Player without explaining what the term means. He accepts the offer and, awakening unharmed outside the dungeon, realizes he has gained the ability to grow stronger by earning experience points and leveling up.
