Naruto Uzumaki is a twelve-year-old ninja from the Leaf Village with the dream of becoming Hokage, the most important ninja in the village, in order to be accepted by others. Naruto indeed spent his childhood in isolation and, during the confrontation with the traitor ninja Mizuki, he discovers the reason: sealed inside him is the Nine-Tailed Fox, one of the nine tailed beasts, gigantic supernatural demons. Following his promotion to the ninja academy, Naruto becomes part of Team 7 along with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, under the guidance of the teacher Kakashi Hatake[2][3]. After various adventures, Sasuke decides to leave the Leaf Village to train with Orochimaru, aiming to gain the power necessary to kill his brother Itachi and avenge his clan, which was apparently exterminated by him without a clear motive. After the failed attempt to redeem Sasuke and bring him back to the village, Naruto decides to follow the master Jiraiya to undertake a long training with him. Sakura, instead, having become aware of her own weakness compared to her companions, asks Tsunade, who has meanwhile become the fifth Hokage, to train her in medical arts.
After about two and a half years, Naruto returns to the Leaf Village and resumes his role as a member of Team 7, with Sakura and Sai replacing their friend Sasuke. Meanwhile, the Akatsuki Organization, a group of traitor ninjas dedicated to capturing the nine tailed beasts sealed within the respective jinchūriki, is searching for Naruto, who must therefore confront some of its members. Sasuke, after the death of his brother Itachi, discovers the truth behind the extermination of the Uchiha clan[6] and, once again consumed by hatred and thirst for revenge, joins Akatsuki to obtain from them the power to destroy his native village. Naruto's adventures thus unfold between the attempt to defend himself and his village from the Akatsuki Organization and trying to bring his friend Sasuke back on the right path, all while continuing to pursue his dream of becoming Hokage.
