HATSUNE MIKU - Shimian Maifu Ver. - 1/7 Scale Figure Rerelease (Good Smile Company)

A melody born on the battlefield.
An ancient instrument in hand.
And Hatsune Miku at the center of a composition that seems to come to life like a painting suspended in time.

Good Smile Company brings back into production Hatsune Miku: Shimian Maifu Ver., a spectacular 1/7 scale figure born from the illustration by the artist Rei and inspired by Shimian Maifu, a famous composition from the Chinese musical tradition for pipa. The entire project seeks to translate into three dimensions the elegance and dynamism of an ancient ink painting, reinterpreting them through the colors and visual identity of Hatsune Miku.

Miku is depicted holding the pipa, a traditional Chinese instrument with a characteristic pear shape. Her body position faithfully follows that of the original illustration: an elegant pose full of movement, in which every element seems to follow the rhythm of the music.

The very long turquoise hair becomes an integral part of the scene. The strands extend in numerous directions, wrapping around the composition and creating a feeling of continuous motion. The cool tones of the hair are contrasted by vivid orange, gold, blue, and black details, building a color contrast that attracts the eye from any angle.

The outfit reinterprets Miku through an aesthetic strongly influenced by traditional Chinese culture. Fabrics that seem to float, elaborate ornaments, and small decorative elements overlap without weighing down the silhouette, while the different finishes of the coloring contribute to visually separate each layer of the composition.

Particular attention has also been given to the pipa, the true narrative focal point of the figure. The instrument is not just a simple accessory: it is what directly connects Hatsune Miku to the musical composition from which the project originates, transforming the entire statue into a meeting point between contemporary Vocaloid culture and a much older musical tradition.

The sculpture is entrusted to Kai Sasaki, while the coloring is handled by milk. The figure is produced as a fully pre-painted product in 1/7 scale, includes its own base, and reaches approximately 290 mm in height.

This edition represents the rerelease of the Shimian Maifu Ver., originally marketed previously and now reissued by Good Smile Company. The EAN associated with the new production is 4570232591998.

The hair follows the wind.
The strings of the pipa seem ready to vibrate.
And an ancient melody meets the most famous virtual voice in the world.

A figure capable of going beyond the simple representation of the character, becoming a true centerpiece for a collection dedicated to Hatsune Miku.
