A new wave of music is ready to sweep the stage.
SEGA dedicates one of its FIGURIZM figures to Catch the Wave, the emblematic song from Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MEGA39's and a track created by kz (livetune) as the main theme of the game and commemorative song for the tenth anniversary of the Hatsune Miku × SEGA project.
The figure brings to three dimensions the distinctive Catch the Wave Module, the official costume designed by LAM for Hatsune Miku. The result deliberately moves away from the character's classic turquoise and black look to embrace a bright and almost tropical palette, built around yellow, pink, blue, green, and black.
Miku is depicted in the midst of a performance, with one arm raised above her head and the other extended sideways. The positioning of her legs completes a light and rhythmic silhouette, giving the impression that the character has been captured during a dance move.
One of the most spectacular elements is the reinterpretation of her very long twin-tails. Starting from the characteristic turquoise, the hair gradually transitions to lime green and yellow shades, with the ends again highlighted by blue tones. The two tails extend on either side of the body in wide curves, becoming an integral part of the composition.
The costume also reflects the energetic aesthetic of Catch the Wave: the top and skirt are made up of several colorful layers with wavy edges, while small geometric details and multicolored accessories recall the graphic identity of the module. The dark arm sleeves and tall white boot covers create a sharp contrast that further emphasizes the central colors of the outfit.
The song Catch the Wave portrays a Hatsune Miku capable of traveling around the world and connecting people through music. The figure perfectly captures this atmosphere: not a static pose, but an open, smiling, and lively interpretation, almost inviting the viewer to follow the rhythm.
