EVANGELION - Asuka Shikinami Langley - Spear Cassius Ver. - Luminasta (SEGA)

Asuka Shikinami Langley is one of the protagonists of the tetralogy Rebuild of Evangelion, a modern reinterpretation of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Compared to her original counterpart, Asuka Sōryū, the Shikinami version retains similar traits — such as pride, confidence, and talent as a pilot — but also features more restrained and introspective nuances, with a slightly different psychology.

In the Rebuild, Asuka shows greater emotional maturity, less excessive in her attitudes but still determined and impulsive. Her relationship with the other pilots is often conflictual, but grows in complexity as she faces suffering, loneliness, and trauma related to her role.

As a pilot, she is extremely capable, courageous, and ready to sacrifice herself for the good of others, although she tends to hide her fears behind a tough and defiant attitude. Her evolution throughout the films makes her a tragic but also deeply human figure, trapped between the need to be strong and the often repressed desire to be loved.

Asuka Shikinami Langley is a symbol of pride and fragility coexisting, a character who embodies the conflict between isolation and the desire for connection, making her one of the most complex and fascinating figures in the Evangelion universe.
