Rin Okumura is the protagonist of Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist), a boy with an impulsive, stubborn, and incredibly human character, who discovers that he is none other than the son of Satan. This revelation forever changes his life, confronting him with a constant inner conflict: to accept his demonic origin or to fight to become a true exorcist, capable of protecting the people he cares about.

When he unleashes his demonic power, two blue flames envelop his body, a distinctive sign of his connection to the King of Hell. He always carries with him Kurikara, the power-sealing katana that, once drawn, releases his demonic side.

Rin is emotional, rash, and often acts before thinking, but he is driven by a deeply altruistic heart. Raised by Shiro Fujimoto, a priest and exorcist who taught him the value of humanity, Rin inherited from him not only education but also the desire to protect others, despite the fear and contempt that his origin arouses in many.

His path to becoming an exorcist is not easy: besides facing supernatural threats, he must also earn the trust of his companions, manage his uncontrollable strength, and live with an identity that scares him. But precisely in the most difficult moments, Rin shows courage, determination, and a great capacity for empathy, especially towards those who feel marginalized like him.

Rin Okumura embodies the struggle to define oneself beyond one's origins, an imperfect but sincere hero, who often falls… but always finds the strength to get up and keep fighting, with the blue fire of his will.
